Brushes suitable for the food industry

Food-grade brushes with food certification are essential for many companies that must comply with strict hygiene measures and undergo inspections requiring all components involved in the production process to be certified.

Our brushes comply with UNE-EN-10204-2.1-2.2, UNE EN 1186 for materials and articles in contact with food products and others both within Germany and the EU and within the USA. Food packaging and consumer products in the USA are regulated by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).

Conveyor belt cleaning using cylindrical brushes is one of the most widely used systems, complementing traditional scrapers and other cleaning systems. They can clean ribbed, chevron, or embossed belts, among others.

Brushes clean conveyor belts after transporting products, ensuring the quality of the next batch. We can adapt the brush to clean different types of waste by varying the brush’s fiber output, fiber type, and density.

The arrangement of the fibers on the brush can also allow sweeping or cleaning on the return of the belt, in a helical direction to one side, etc.

This type of conveyor belt cleaning is performed in many industrial sectors, but most widely in the food industry, where we use food-grade materials with FDA/EU certifications for food contact.

We mount brushes with detectable polyester fibers, sensitive to control and prevention instruments used on production lines, such as magnets and metal detectors. More and more customers are requesting brushes with these metal-detectable fibers, as well as fibers in colors such as blue or red for visual detection.

Brushes with coarse fibers or metal bristles are used to clean baking trays after cookies and breads have been baked in a hot oven or after the products have been sprayed or sprinkled with other ingredients. We adapt to wavy surfaces by cutting the fibers wavy to the dimensions of each tray. We also offer replacement cylindrical brushes with metal bristles for bakery tray cleaning machines.

Boot and sole cleaning brushes provide effective and fast cleaning of soles, insteps, boot shafts, and work shoes in the food industry, both in automatic and manual machines.

Cheese brushing machines rotate cylindrical brushes to clean and brush cheese, with varying degrees of hardness depending on the type of cheese and the desired result. We adapt the brushes to the desired hardness.

We supply brushes for sausage brushing machines, whether cured, dry-cured, or wet-cured. The sausages pass through the brushes, cleaning them to allow for further processing.

Brushes for brushing machines for hams, loins, chorizos, horseshoe chorizos, salchichones, salamis, coppas, cheeses, etc. We can adapt the brushing rollers to each brushing process depending on the product.

The brushes can also be used for applications such as spreading butter on hams, oiling hams, removing mold from sausages, brushing cheeses, etc., and can be used for both automatic and manual sausage planers.
