Drying brush

Brushes for drying

Removal of moisture, such as water, oil or other liquids, from products, surfaces or materials. Moisture, such as water, oil or other liquids, is removed from products, surfaces or materials using brushes.

Using cylindrical brushes with special fibres designed for this purpose, water, droplets, moisture, etc. can be removed from different surfaces.

We have cruciform polyethylene available; cross-shaped polyethylene for drying/water expulsion, with parallel fibre arrangement. The tips of the fibres break up the droplets.

We originally started using it to dry fruit and vegetables, such as pumpkins, melons and watermelons, but after seeing the good results, we have transferred this type of fibre to other industrial applications where the aim is to remove liquids from different surfaces.

We can vary the fibre density depending on the application. We recommend a body diameter of 80 mm to ensure the brush is strong.

The placement of several shafts for the drying process is usually a good idea.

Some customers angle the bottom so that when the fibre is touched, the water accumulated in the brush drains away. We therefore recommend using a plate, rod or other system that helps the tuft move to achieve the effect, as shown in the diagram:
